Lorrie
Lorrie Wagner (RYT-500) believes that yoga is an expression of the essence of love. Practicing yoga encourages us to be more loving toward ourselves and creates a deep sense of connection and belonging. Through yoga practice, we develop the capacity to be aware and present, and from this place of spaciousness we can learn to release old patterns and negative self-beliefs. By being with ourselves just as we are in each moment of our yoga practice with acceptance, we learn to accept ourselves as we are in our daily lives. Yoga teaches us that we have the capacity to embody an expression of our authentic selves in each moment. Lorrie believes that in cultivating the capacity to embody our authentic selves through our yoga practice, we have the capacity to share our unique creative gifts with the world. It’s through sharing our gifts that we create a sense of community.
Lorrie completed yoga teacher training in 1992 at The Center for Yoga at Larchmont in Los Angeles. She then pursued advanced study in Iyengar and Anusara. Lorrie’s teachers include Gurmukh,Eric Schiffman, John Friend, Desiree Rumbaugh, Judith Lassiter, Sally Kempton, and Christopher Wallice.
